TRC vs. CCS I figured it was time for a section like this since although to me it doesn't seem like it, but there are a lot of fans of CCS who have never read or watched Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles/Tsubasa Chronicles, so now I have a section that explains the difference between these two series. Now although we have our favorite heroes Syaoran and Sakura that we all know and love from CCS the difference is these are not the same Syaoran and Sakura we knew from CCS. Confused? ^^ Well let's start from the beginning. Though CLAMP is famous for cameoing familiar characters from several of their series in their other works TRC is unique in the way that it deals with alternate worlds that have the same people in them, but are living different lives in this world. For instance Sakura and Syaoran from CCS are from a world that has clow cards and magic whereas Syaoran and Sakura from TC are an alternate world version of CCS S+S that come from Clow country that is very different from the CCS world. The prevailing theme through out TC is although you will come across seeing the same people you've seen in other worlds, these look alikes all share the same soul. So I guess using that line alone you could say the only connection between CCS and TC is that the S+S from TC and S+S from CCS bear the same souls. |
